205 Block Pinto 2L complete engine with a shortened sump and pickup.

 

This engine was a good runner but was suffering from low oil pressure which could be the pump, crank, bearings etc. I haven't investigated as I has a good spare which I swapped it out with.

 

So, it may be fine for Thousands of miles but up to you. If you're doing a new build, then you would probably want to rebuild it.

 

£150 or I will sell the sump and the engine seperately for £100 each. Prefer single bidder.

I had a problem with my Pinto showing low oil preasure.

All that was the spray bar in the rocker cover being loose at the middle bolt.

larger washer, tighten & now all is o/k and has been for about 5K

The car drove fine but I wouldn't like to sell something without "over" warning people. I've sold quite a few steering rack mounts and shortened sumps on here and to date, I think everyones happy

 

But, if it was me, I would give it a rebuild while it's out anyway as a matter of course if you're doing a new build.

 

Looking at Pinto's on ebay, this isn't expensive especially as it's a 205. Will leave it here till the weekend and then fleabay it.
