thats a 3 or 3a Mike so the ex Vauxhall recaros will not fit, looks like you may have to go down the roadster seat options, think you will find yout tunnel is narrower on drivers side than passengers, i have intatrim odeysys mine (2b) but simon fitted them in his 7 too and they fitted easily, were 330 quid but i got two colours,

Richfeild in Nottingham have a very good range and are only as dear as you want to make them .I have had a pair in my series 3 for 5/6 years and they are as good as any I've tried ,but be carefull as Mitch says the space available can be tight the ones I fitted 1144 's are a fiddle to fit but I believe they make a slightly narrower type which would be ok HTH mower man

You could also look at Motordrive. I know Alan through the Mini club so I've seen a few of his seats (more usually in serious rally cars). Big Jim also has a pair of Motordrive seats in a MkIII I think.
