Wiring Diagram

Hi,

 

Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the stalks of a 1990 boot model Sierra Sapphire?

 

I have found some examples on the site, but none of these actually say what the different wires are connected to.

 

I am trying to connect up my VG loom aaaaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhhhhhh. :boohoo:

You sound that you are at the same stage as myself

 

I connected the VG loom to the column switched as show on the plans , the colours did not always match those on the plans so i ignored the colours and connected the wires from the terminals to the VG loom as they came out of the back of the switches.

I have had a look at the wiring for the instument cluster and an not loking forward to that ,and as for the ignition AGHHHHHH.

Hi Stephen,

 

I have had it wired up as per wall chart..............no joy !

 

I have also had it wired up to another diagram off this site.

 

I thought if someone had a diagram of what all the wires did coming out of the 'stalks' it would help me determine what was what.

 

I think I will have to get the meter out and go through all wires and try to figure out what each one does (should be fun)

Hi Guys,

 

Took the stalk into a auto electrician who identified all the wires for me........yipeee.......I now know what all the wires do.

when i connected by VG to the stalks, i just used the diagram and ignored the wire coloures and it all works fine.

 

Mine was a 1989 and it all seems to work quite well

Has anyone fitted fiesta column switches (the ones with the horn switch on the indicater stalk) to a vg loom. if so any chance of a diagram
