Servo Disassembly- Warning

There has been a fair bit of discussion on here recently about brakes without servo. I took my servo apart after removal to see if the pushrod would be suitable- it wasn't, it is too short. Also, there is an effoff spring in the servo, that when the 2 halfs of the main vac chamber are split, twangs bits into the air. Wouldn't wanted anyone to get hurt doing this, or have someone's bodywork dented by flying metal. Bri

Sounds like the steering idler on the front chassis rail of a Series Land-Rover (not sure if the coil-srung ones used the same system). It's not a big thing but my goodness there is some energy stored up in the spring under there.
