Where did it snap? Pedal end or TPS end?

I have some pictures of how I fitted mine.

I have looped the cable back on itself so that if it ever fails, I could make a temporary repair to get back home with. The loop also acts as a backup in case the nipple slips on the cable.

(This is the pedal side)

It snapped on the pedal side, like the way you done it where did you get that clamp which fits to the pedal? Did you drill a hole in the bolt to pull the cable thro or have you wrapped it around the bolt and tightened it to act as a clamp?

That clevis clamp is what came with the throttle cable from GBS. I noticed it was too narrow for the pedal so I just used some old Meccano know how to make the pivot bolt through the pedal.

The cable just goes around the back of the bolt (drilling it would weaken it too much) and then fed back through the choc block. This part of the cable is NOT tight but enough so that the cable won't slip out from behind the bolt.

The nipple takes the strain and if it slips, the loop should catch the slack. Well, that's the theory anyway :)

(It would have been nicer if I had a clevis that would fit the pedal though :) )
