Gearbox Noise....

Am I going to cause any significant damage by letting it rattle for the time being? Aside from undue wear on the clutch bearing ?

Ok my first diagnosis may have been off it doe's happen ,but some of the posts are refering to MT75 boxes which are comp different to the type9 , several posts mention a little tension on the thrust brg ,this std when using a seirra pedal box and auto adjuster if anthing else is used it's adifferent situation and a little tension may have to be put on by varios means .As for prem wear on the thrust brg it is highly unlikley as the contact is minimal . Idoubt a recon is nec and as said you should not need to mod the thrust arm, my honest advise is get it on the road do some miles and enjoy it,there will be numerous other probs raise their head before you need to worry about a bittle of a rattle .Use it and chill out mowerman
