you can use the estate i beleive but i think the trailing arms are slightly different on the estate as suspension is in different place.

my car a sierra 7 is based on an estate but i used the rear end of a salon as the estste had the suspension in the wrong place. just be careful when registering at swansea though as i have a robin hood estate on log book .
