Gbs Plenum Chamber

The welded nut on the back of the GBS plenum, is that for MAP sensor?

I only have that single nut on the back. I have put my MAP on there, the car is running *bleep*e so was just wondering whether the MAP was in the wrong place

If you have only the single nut, do you have the webbing strengtheners that go to the trumpets as well?

 

I had the original plenum with just the one welded nut and no webbing. This cracked on #1 and #4 trumpets allowing air into the engine and made the engine run *bleep* like you are suggesting.

 

If that is the case, I would suggest getting it swapped at GBS for their mark 2 version plenum.

 

(Try spraying the back of the plenum with WD40 say and see if the engine note changes. If it does, you need a new plenum chamber.)

Yeah its got the webbing on the trumpets....Thats A good idea. I'll try that later on today.
