Hi, is anyone going/been before? What do you do for accommodation? Looking to Youth Hostel as there's one close, (10miles) unless there's a campsite within walking distance, the onsite camping is £160 for a pitch for 4, first time I'll of been if you hadn't guessed.

We stayed last year our 1st time.

Camping is expensive BUT.... showers hot water, cleaned every few hours on-site plumber just in case.

Shop on site for those little bits you forget and only a 5 min walk to Goodwood House.

If you try to travel 10 miles be prepared to spend at least 45 mins each way to get in and out and then try to find and pay for parking and then walk further than you would if camping.

IMHO a no brainer.

One tip as well is to read the programme of events and plan your days well, most runs up "the hill" are duplicated AM + PM on different days so you can do half days watching the same form different parts and get 2 half days watching the rally stage, if that's of interest.

You can also come and go in and out as you please all day as your ticket is scanned each time you enter and leave.

We arrived on the Wednesday at noon and left on the Monday as and when we were ready.

Have you booked yet? if not don't be too long they sell out really quickly.

You will enjoy, a petrol heads nirvana.

Myself and Becks only live only an hours drive from Goodwood, took us over an hour too do the last mile or so to get into the car parks last year.

Only thing with using a bike to get in/out will be the narrow lanes as you do get the muppets who think they are above everyone else and try to jump the queue and think they are on a race track at the same time
