Speedo Cable

hi all

 

Finally cut the tunnel side to get at the broken speedo cable at the weekend

 

it only took 2 1/2 hours and a b****red pair of circlip pliers to get the circlip out

 

Bargain of the year for me at "Halfrauds" new cable on clearance offer £3.25p

 

The question is do I grease or oil the cable before fitting?

This is another silly question, like

where do I put my battery    

I would grease it with a LM grease...

I would just put a little at either end where it meets the Speedo/ gearbox none on the inside though I think they are PTFE lined so don't require lubrication .
