looking at a new toy, got my eye on a MGB GT ready for restoration need some thing for my man shed and some thing to do over winter

If you buy one that is to far gone it will be mega expensive to refurb.

At least all parts you might need are readily available though the mg owners club.

he gave up doing do it got most parts body in good nick just 1 door and bonnet needed

Sounds good as long as happy with cost.

I was offered a good mgb conv chrome bumper one as straight swap for my 2b early this year.

First season in 2b and driven so many mgb sin the past so refused the offer.

You need to fix your 2B before you start on another project.

yep but my 2b just needs the timing and carb sorted so that's easy, going down to Cheam next Sunday to pick it up

just got back with my new toy on the trailer 395 mile round trip from London, the chap I bought it from has replaced all the panels that normally rust reminds me of when I built my 2b up to the rolling chassis stage with boxes of parts and panels to fit

here are some I took this evening in my man shed engine needs a good clean out side only done 8k mile since rebuild bores look in good nick

just ordered some shelving 3.6mtr x 400mm 5 shelves so I can sort out all the parts and keep them tidy also see what's missing

guess what came today , the shelving dam quick should have been due on the 30th got 3 up so far, whish I'd done this earlier , I can now see the floor

got most bits on the shelves , now sorting bits out ,starting with the heater assembly, touching up some bits that have started to show rust

got a few bits in just waiting for some piping for the brakes and fuel lines, head gaskets came today so I can start getting the engine back togther( already checked it over with a clean up)
