just tried to get some bits for my mgb off eBay wings bonnet and door some one really wanted them I gave up early but all the bids went through the roof, mad as some items similar were 1/2 the cost of what they bid

That's Ebay. Seen used items go for more money than the equivalent new, on Amazon.

I just picked up a bargain though. Pinto manifold and bandit 1200 carbs plus hose and filter for less than 50 smackeroos.

I do agree prices are crazy high on lots of auctions and buy it nows.

IMO eBay should now have two or three sections.

Trade sellers including all second hand outlets.

Not wanting to hijack the post. Peter I take it you've looked at the heritage parts. Sometimes buying a 30 year old part to save 30 quid doesn't always pay off.

The owners club is sometimes cheaper (not always) but I don't know about there shipping costs as they are local to me.
