Could be some form of cleaning agent left in radiator, looks like chemical bubbles rather than the odd bubble fro trapped air. Drain and flush the system and be sure to add the right coolant.

Hi Mark, the system was drained yesterday and refilled with a 50 50 mix of water and summer coolant, Halfords 50 / 50 summer coolant mix.
