Removing Bottom Balljoint

Any ideas on how to take the bottom balljoints off my wishbones? I want to get them plated. I ask this because many people seem to have problems with them falling out whilst driving (no serious accidents yet thank God) despite RHE saying they will not come off because they're effectively heat shrunk on (ie, they're screwed in whilst the wishbone is still hot after welding). So they must be removeable somehow.
