44 Year Old Lotus!

Well, I guess I've just seen what it's all about.

 

I walked past a local used car outlet this afternoon and saw, out the corner of my eye, the unmistakable nose cone of a Seven (or was it a six in 1960?). Thinking it might be a Hood I was to be disappointed ( ) as I found it was only a 1960 factory built Lotus, 44 years old going for £15,995.

 

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to hang around and ask questions but it looked like it was in reasonable nick. The gel coat on the nose was cracked a little to much for my taste (they just don't make em to last do they ) so I decided not to purchase

 

It did seem small though in comparison to my growing 2B though.

 

I wonder if mine'll still be on the road in 44 years. Ooops I forgot - I've got to get it on the road first, before I can start counting
