Vg Loom & That Old Chestnut Alternator Fitting

Hi all , unfortunatly my topic is the old chestnuts of the vg loom and how do you fit the alternator.

 

Is there a difinative guide any where that tells you the correct wiring up for this loom (thought i would try an easy bit like connecting the multipin plug to the loom) now either i am very stupid or the instructions resemble nothing like the wiring on my multiplug

 

2, I have the new steering shaft (long with a uj at either end) best ideas on fitting the alternator around this would be most appreciated thanks

My vg loom came with a specific plug fitted that attached to the alternator perfectly? I will check the color of the wires though if that will help?

Although I did have to run an extra wire from the small pin on the back of the alternator to run to the automatic choke.
