Combined "dummy Mcpherson Strut"/ Cycle Bracket

I wonder if someone can help, I am currently building a 2B plus and have recenlty came across a problem with the fitting of the dummy mcpherson strut to the stub axle.

 

The strut and the cycle bracket are now one unit. Basically I have followed to the letter the video and fitted the strut so the side of least taper is to the outside of the car. However, when it is fitted in this way the cycle wing bracket is to the outside of the car, and actually stops the wheel from being fitted.

 

Can somebody tell me if these brackets are incorrect, or if I am fitting these incorrectly

I was beginning to go mad :gdit: , will get the new tyres on rims over weekend, and use the sierra steel wheels reversed in the mean time
