Hurray !!

My 2b plus passed yesterday the SVA test at Leighton Buzzard.

it was the second attempt.

After the first, I had only minor things to modify ( fog light on the wrong side of the car , some radiuses).

Only real problem was speed ( showing 1 mile to low) and noise 102 dB.

Speed : I just moved the spin on the gauge

Noise : i pushed some glass wool into the exhaust.

Result : 109 dB.

The guy let me 5 minutes to try to repair.

So : I pushed the small stainless stell part provided with the kit

Result : 105 dB

minutes more : I pushed more glass wool and the small part

Result : 95 dB

So bingo.

The guy told me that 2b exhaust are known to be very noisy.

So, he recommend changing it for a Tiger one or any other manufacturer of special exhaust.

hello Olly,

I just would recomend to check all the radiuses and trim every thing.

If you have a doubt, cover it.

For the rest, try to have a clean car.

First impression is very important.

Yes Chris,

for what I know from belgian governement there are 3 Robin Hood in belgium, but they seem to be older models.

But now I still have to register in UK

By the way, where do i get an " Build up inspection report" ?

Gerardo contact the nearest DVLA local office and explain to them that you have had your car SVA'd and need to have it checked by them and registered

When I did mine I went along with all the paperwork I had, receipts for all parts plus the one for the kit and old registration document from donor. I found them very helpful in assisting with the completion of all the documents then all that it required for them to see the car to ensure that the car is what you say it is and the engine and chassis number are correct

Hope this helps
