Hey all as u may be aware i'm still relativily new on here but just thought i'd give u some idea about me. My partners pregnant and were expecting our first child, today we went for her first scan and alls well with the baby and i got some good pics of the scan too, Is it just me or does it bring a tear to every bloke seeing something like that for the first time. I suppose u think i'm a big softy now, i'm not but it's a funny thing to be going through. I know being a parent's gonna be a big responsibility but the hood is still gonna be planned as it should keep me outta the way and doing something creative in my spare time.

My advice for what its worth

Build the car for the next 20 weeks then sleep for the next 8, you will not be sleeping much after 'its' out

Finish the car before the baby is 18 months then leave the misses at home and bring the child to the shows

I bawled me eyes out when my boy was born !! (I know, southern Jessie !)

 

Connor is just five now and comes to the camping weekends with me and he loves it, gets us lads out of the girls way too. He's desperate to help me with the kit, it's just worrying cos he keeps on picking up the lump hammer ! He comes to some local meets too, and most of the crew know him now.

 

As far as the kit is concerned, everyone needs some escapism at some point :-)

Bejay Get on with the build as Darren says as soon as the nipper is old enough bring him/her along to the shows Darren has been bringing his little girl since before she could hardly talk (click on his name to see her) and she loves it maybe because she gets spoiled rotten mind you that goes for young Connor also

Tim had tears in his eyes when we saw the first scan picture of Alice( our 1st)

 

He got the kit in Oct, I got pregnant in March ......god knows how cos he was living in the garage. ... but he finished the car by end Aug (1993/1994) and I had her in Dec!!

 

So you do needto finish that car asap
