Fuel Tank Sender

Hi all, My fuel tank sender is from a 2.0i pinto. There's a multi-plug with 3 wires( Brown/black, brown/green and brown/red), am I correct in thinking the Brown/Black is connected to the Green/Black on the Vicky Green loom, and the 2 black wires together(on VG loom) go to the male bullet connector on the sender unit (Earth?).

I think the Brown/green and Brown/red are not used, but any verification would be nice

 

I've done a search on here to get this far, but still not sure.

You are correct the brown/black goes to the fuel gauge the other two are to do with the fuel computer and low level light. Also don’t forget to earth the sender unit.
