Shimmed Out

Hi all

RE 2b zimmeride suspension

I shimmed out the rear axle today by using a couple of washers behind each of the Outer CV Joint top bolts. The car now sits with just the smallest amount of positive camber when I’m in the car and it has improved the rear end bump steer and handling no end. 20min job and the cost was nil. Well worth doing.

The rear zimmeride springs being rated at 300lbs are still too soft for a 15 stone bloke so i think i will try and get some 350lb before giving up completely on the zimmeride units. <_<

Hi

Well i thought that Richard told me that the green zeemeride springs i have on my car are rated at 300lbs, but if they are rated at 350lbs then i think i wont bother with changing just the springs. A new pair of rear shockers might be in order!
