Speedo Heads & Dials

Hello again folks just wondered where I would lay my hands on a seperate speedo head and some dials which would be calibrated to my donor engine a 1.6 Ford Pinto. Have tried plenty of scrapyards etc to no avail.

 

Also when investigating the lack of any reading on my fuel guage (I bought the car pre built) as it is a bit embarassing running out of fuel on the coast road. The guage never worked but it seemed quite reliable on a 100 miles a tank before refilling but after this latest incident thought i would better have a look see. Havinng located a flap marked for fuel in the back I removed it to discover there was no wiring to the sender. I contacted the guy I bought it off (not the builder) and he reckoned it was difficult to do. I thought PAH!!! unless you can tell me otherwise.

Yet more more work over the weekend, although if it stays as stormy as it has been there will be ample time.

 

To recap after my blabberings -

1/dials especially a calibrated speedo - where can I buy them?

 

2/ Is the fuel guage wiring anything out of the ordinary?
