Gearbox

There's nothing to stop me selecting reverse on my gearbox. Normally I know you have to push down on the gearstick, but on mine you dont. Will this cause me to fail SVA? Is there anything I can do about it without having to find a new gearbox? (That would be a real pain as I forgot about it and put the engine and gearbox in and its now all connected up!!)

Hi Ben,

You might want to try another gearstick.

My understanding is that the reverse blocking is controlled by the rubber cone near the bottom on the stick.

The bit at the right hand end in this pic by the mounting plate.
