With RHE now in the hands of new owners it would seem an opportune moment to suggest RHOCaR members discuss the bestowing of Lifetime Honorary Membership on Richard Stewart for his unmatched and unrepeatable contribution to our beloved marque.

Now you may think I am totally barking or have hit the nail on the head, but post your views ... B)

Despite the new ownership, Richard was still there on Friday when we picked up some bits from the factory - he hasn't quite given up yet!! He was still wearing the customary overalls as modelled in the build videos!

I expect one of the sale conditions is that he hangs around for a finite period of time to help them through any teething problems... :)

My thought is why not.... wouldn't be a club without his company.. (but then I've never met him, does he drink beer & would he be a laugh?? )

Thats a good idea BUT !

I cannot see Richard really making any use of it he is not the socialising type :D

I agree he should be honoured someway perhaps we should all write to the queen

and get her to give him a BEM :D :D for services to the kit car industry

Mind you it might be better to aim higher because they give BEMs to anyone these days

Hi Andy

My lad means Pi55ing My Self Laughing.

How are you? I'm due to pop up to Brum to see my old workmates within the next week or so, weather permitting. I'll give you a call nearer the time...

Pete

Cheers for the prayers Andy, by the look of the weather we'll need 'em.

To revert back to topic, I think despite Richard not appearing to be the "sociable" type, we ought to do something to commemorate his efforts. I've always found him OK to talk to, and bear in mind I didn't buy the kit new, but that didn't seem to make any difference, he was always pleasant to me.

FWIW

Pete
