Mirrors

Dear All.

Can anyone recommend a side mirror that bolts onto the windscreen pillar, and is fully SVA ok, with the field of view etc.

I bought some at Stoneleigh and they are useless (well you gets what you pays for i suppose) . I also have the RH ones, but they won't mount on the pillar.

Has anyone passed SVA with pillar mounted mirrors, and could they recommend where I can get the same thing ?

I have used mirrors from a Kawasaki ZX9R. They are a nice pear drop shape and mount onto the pillar nicely. Fully adjustable "e" marked and only £15 for the pair form my local motorbike salvage place.

 

they have two bolts in the vertical which sit nicely alongside the frame and can't be got at by the "dreaded dome". If you need a pic of how they look let me know and I'll dig one out.

Contact "Tiger" cars, and get a pair from them (about £34 pair) nic & chrome, SVA friendly and what's more, you can see behind with them. They also just fit instead of the 'top' bolt in the triangle of the windscreen pillar.

 

In fact if you search this topic, you'll find a piccy of Andy Sparrows car with them fitted.
