Thermostat Housing For Pinto Engine

For those of you who heard of my plight at the Baldock meeting on 2 October, where I showed a cracked thermostat housing, I have just bought a brand-spanking new one for £20!! I rang a few scrappers without success, but didn't really want to buy someone else's trouble.

 

I got it from a hole-in-the-wall car discount shop. He has one more in stock, which I was tempted to buy. If somebody is in dire need for a housing, contact me and perhaps I can sort you out.

 

My original housing had a short stubby pipe, rather than the new one which measures about 80mm long. The diameter is still 32mm, and the flange is identical except not so bulky, so I will have to cut down the length of one of the original bolts.

 

So for a fellow hoodie, I don't mind doing the honours at cost. So £20 plus postage.

Don't throw out your old one, It could be repaired quite cheaply too.
