Hi

 

How the **** does this wire up????

 

I have a "86 GB - 12A297 - AB" Amplifier. Where do the wires go?

 

There are 11 wires in total:

5 along the top row and 6 along the bottom row:

 

Bn+G Bn space Bn+Rd Bn+Bl Bn+G

Bl Gn+Y Bl+Rd Bn Gn Bn

 

 

Please help, hopefully wont be long until the engine is running

This looks like a hall effect ignition from the 1.8 pinto although the numbers don't match Haynes the colours do.

 

row 1=

pin 1.brown green.........engine temp sensor

pin 2.brown..................engine temp sensor

pin 3.brown red............( octane adjust

pin 4.brown blue...........( octane adjust

pin 5.brown green.........pin 86 engine management relay XI for manifold heater

 

row 2=

pin 6.black....................ignition live supply in and out to coil positive

pin 7.green yellow.........(dizzy 0

pin 8.black red..............(dizzy +

pin 9.brown...................(dizzy -

pin 10.green..................coil neg and rev counter

pin 11.brown.................earth

 

I guess you could prune 5 and leave 3 and 4 insulated and unused but no more.
