Here is a picture I took of Peter Dawson's bonnet hinge set-up some time ago

His car is a 2B sliding pillar but the same system should adapt to the Sub-K

Hi Pete,

It's been quite a while for me too, I had to check back in my records for my login name.

My mail system checks for messages from the site automatically. Get very few lately and most are for "get rich schemes" and messages re' Islam ( should I have revealed that ?? - I might not be around for 90 days )

Im interested in the strengthening that you have added. A few more pics of that would be great.

The frame uprights are 25mm box sect. The sides are 25mm angle, one edge of which needs grinding off a bit to fit in the preformed fold on the bonnet. there is one 25mm angle crossmember and one box sect. Secure to the bonnet with M5 countersunk screws.

Thats a big help, Once the engine is running (hopefuly this week) Ill move on to fitting the bonnet.
