Update: TPS has been tested on an oscilloscope and works fine. Have refitted it to the engine. BTW Jez my tame leccy engineer assures me the RS part would be ok as a replacement but as this one is OK will pass for now. Have checked for air leaks and none appear present. Am suspecting the idle control valve. Engine will start and run at 3000 rpm until warm with throttle held. Will idle but fluctuates between 1000 to 2000 rpm. (Imagine saying WOW every 2 seconds) Any further thoughts anyone ? Cheers

Not put a meter across it yet. Will have to download the zip file at home as the Thought Police at work won't allow the downloading of .exe files. Am on it though !

Hi All, I'm looking for a TPS for a 2.0 litre Pinto EFI and having no luck at all ! The engine will start without it and will run at 3000 rpm but as soon as I let the revs drop to idle it dies. Engine is reluctant to start with it fitted and will not run cleanly if indeed it does start. Any help much appreciated. Cheers !
