  1. Hello mate, I came across a post you made about upgrading a Sieg SX3 with ballscrews - could you by any chance share your plans for machined parts and ballscrews specifications? It would be much appreciated. I am kitting mine up for CNC and would love to do the ballscrew upgrade at the same time. Many thanks, Robin

I got the ballscrews from :

      www.fbtmotion.com

According to my notes that I can find (it was some time ago!) these are what I went for:

      X-Axis
      1x R1604 C5 ballscrew, total length 724mm (threaded 586mm), BOTH ends A-Type (Fixed) with F dimension modified to 30mm
      1x SFU ballnut with 4 holes (H=36mm)
      2x FK12 for above

      Y-Axis
1x R1604 C5 ballscrew, total length 279mm (threaded 198mm), A-Type (Fixed) end with F dimension modified to 30mm. Other end unimportant (can leave unmachined/floating)
      1x SFU ballnut with 4 holes (H=36mm)
      1x FK12 for above

      Z-Axis
      1x R1605 C7 ballscrew, total length 741mm (threaded 600mm), A-Type (Fixed) end with F=90mm/B=10mm, B-Type (Floating) end with B=12mm
      1x BSF ballnut with 6 holes (D=28/H=40mm)
      1x BK12 for above
