  1. Hi All As most of you were aware, I had a bit of a run in with a Van back in December which resulted in my beloved Cobra being destroyed in a ball of flame and me breaking both Knees quite badly.....so time for an update. 6 months have now passed since the accident. The Van driver has been prosecuted by police and has a hefty fine and a bunch of points as well as having to do a drivers awareness course. Me well I'm actually walking around now pretty much unaided apart from needing a stick to walk around outside and to fend off the missus 6 months off work, there is only so much Jeremy Kyle and Judge Rinder a man can take....(although I start back part time next week) A few weeks ago I started to drive again, which is a big step for me. So that immediately started the car itch again.....Missing the Cobra I have been looking around for a while and Cobra prices have gone interstellar in the past 12 months. Also not seen one which yet ticks all the boxes. So whilst looking and after getting my ear bent by the missus, felt it was time to perhap's try something a tad more civilized. So here it is, all 5.5 Litres of it , my new toy Mercedes SLK55 AMG Bit more practicle than a Cobra, fantastic engine note and performance, similar appetite for fuel, semi auto gearbox so easy for me to drive with knackered knees and it keeps the other half happy......however I still want a project car to tinker with, so have now convinced SWMBO that a track car is the way to go...so now keeping my eye out in the coming months for a track beast as well....happy days Oh...and before anyone else mentions it, the Hairdressors scissors were a £2000 Option so decided against them
