I think the one on mine is an Escort one (mid 80's) as it has the round aperature for the hazard switch. The top does not exactly match the underside, but it does the job.

give GBSC a ring, they managed to sort me out an old steering column for pennies, they get loads of sierra parts in...for obvious reasons! they might have one kicking about with your name on it.

...i know its a bit price.y but ive seen just the 1 half on ebay for 15.00..so 30.00 for both..

unforunatly supply and demand does warrent a price tag, They are not available on ebay and I have rang around breakers and want to sell me the whole column for £80 which I dont need,

even escort ones are £15 quid and I'd have to modify it.

I did get your PM Julien and will wait for your paypal address.

Hi Dinger,

I've got a Rangerover one (Grey) or a Discovery one (black).

Have a look at one in real life if you can (they're not as big as you might think).

Let me know if interested, they're yours for the price of postage. Should only be £3 or £4 mate.

HTH,

Nick.

Hi

Just thought I'd bang in my two penn'orth.

My cowling is cracked and has seen better days, so I plan to take a mould off it using some window wide gap filler foam and a suitable release agent, then try a bit of a wet lay up with resin and glass fible cloth and spray the end result. This is a way off in my build but once I get back from my present jaunt to the middle East and hopefully the weather will be warmer, I will have a go and see what's what.

Just an idea if these things are scarce.

Think i,m going to hang on to any sierra parts ive got that fit my car, they seem to be getting more rare and valuable by the day :o gonna start looking out for a sierra to break and sell off.

i,m trying to get my wifes uncles sierra 2.9 4x4 but he won,t let me have it knowing what i,m going to do to it he thinks someone will restore it, but its in such a state body wise it would cost more than its worth to get it back to any sort of condition its just sitting in his garage roting away  if it was a cossy he,d have a point.
