Exeter Show

What's the gossip from Exeter then? Have RHSC merged the rager and the super spec and brought a new kit called the sub-superrager? Did the RHOCAR display cabinet get set up on time? Who won the raffle?

I was in Bristol and Cornwall over the weekend and was most jealous as lots of kitcars kept overtaking me on the M5 on Friday night. Then I caught up with Richard in the RHE lorry. I waved but I don't think they recognised me in my Agricultural Escort ;-(

Come on then ... what did I miss?

Went both days, Sat very busy and Robin Hood unveield the Bolteon kit, looks quite good if a bit narrow.......and its light enough to run a decent bike engine !!!! The raffle on the sat was won by Kevin Pickering and Les walsher, dont know about sun as left at one to be chauffered home by big jim.

The bolteon is a seven replica that comes as a flat pack (like MFI furniture), no welding or cutting to build, it justs bolts together, like a caterham....... its made out of aluminium like most of the lowcosts, although you can order it in mild or stainless steel. Its narrower than a 2b or Sub k(discontinued) but is much lighter and would go like stink with a bike engine, some tthing along the lines of a megablade. Oh and the price is only £990 for the basic kit.

Ive gone for mini McPherson's, wanted the double wishbones but couldnt strech the four and a half grand needed for then did find out that theres a £420ish pound kit that can be bought to change to double whishbone but ill see what its like and decide if I want it changed after the build.

Edit:- sorry for the later reply you asked just after I had posted but by then I had loged out and gone to my lecture.

For what it's worth, I thought the venue inside was good, excellent selection of accessory and tool sellers, the RHSC stand was interesting with the new Bolteon kit. Most important was the finished SuperSpec and the rolling chassis, cos now I know how to fit some of the bits!

It was good to see a collection of Hoodies outside too.

i was there on sunday. got there at about 11 after a nice run along the A35 from Bournemouth B) i'm sure those speed cameras are breeding !!!

there seems to be more every time i go along that road!!!

anyway ....show was great except the amount of "kit car" parking space taken up

by the motorbike stunt show :gdit: thus meaning that both "kit car"carparks were overflowing

from what i saw not many people seemed very intrested anyway -_-

best show yet i'm sure the good weather helped B)

i met quite a few RHOCAR members and am now a fully paid up member :D

bring on the next one :D
