Been offered this carb, Its desribed as a "38D Weber from a Ford V6"

Doesnt look like a Dgas to me. Any ideas? Is it the same thing as a Dgas, ie both chokes (butterflies) open at the same time??

Further from "guy selling funny looking carb man" He says :-

Have two markings and are; 003087; 38D GMS., and yes it does have gear driven venturi's.

Anyone any clearer??

Gents,

the funny lozenge shaped thing is an adaptor to take the standard V6 air filter.

Underneath there lurks a standard 38DGMS. Ask the sller to remove it & take another photo....you'll see the familiar square chokes.

The final check is that there are two intermeshed toothed quadrants and that both chokes open simultaneously....if so grab it quick.!!!

Bob.
