What Is The Difference?

First and foremost I couldnt find the appropriate forum for my question so please feel free to move this post if you see fit moderators.

 

Quite a simple question realy, what is the difference between the subk kit and the 2b other than the wishbone option. I know for £300+vat there must be a difference but for the life of me I cant see it on the RH web site. I ask because I am seriously considering buying one of either kits.

Another question is has anyone, or could the sub k be converted to the front wishbone system?

There are I believe other differences, for starters I don't think the the roll bar come as standard on the Sub K, it's additional cost.

 

As to converting to wishbone suspension at the front, anythings possible for a Hoodie but it would be difficult using standard, and I use the world loosely, components from RHSC, the chassis is very different at the front to accept the mini Mc strut.

 

My advise would be that, if you ultimately want a wishbone front end then, assuming you can still get that kit, go for it now and keep off the tinnies for a couple of weeks to get the extra cash together.

I have had a closer look at the RH site and read the details very carefully. As well as the above it would appear that the sub k has a totaly different front suspension that uses the track control arms from the doner sierra. In the photo section of the subk it looks like the track control arms have been fabricated specialy as they are of a tubular construction. I would like to bet they dont look too hot with the conventional sierra track control arms. Has anyone built a sub k with the conventional sierra arms and do you have any photos showing them?

I have to admit I've never quite known the difference between them, but the structure of the chassis is slightly different.
