Efi Timing

Is there an easy way to work out ( accurately) the correct TDC position on the timing pully?

The marks on mine ( pressed steel type) are not very clear infact it looks like someone has tried to make them more visible with a file. Now I don't know for sure which one is TDC and which is 8deg there are so many!!

It looks nothing like the wonderful drawing in the Haynes manual.

the best way would be to use a better quality timing light, like the "Snap on" version, then you just use the big, last mark which is TDC, and alter the setting on the light (If you get my meaning)
