hi bill, nah not in the forces but used to work as an aircraft engineer on the small private stuff over at little staughton airfield.

when the fuel strikes were on, my old boss insisted we use the avgas from the bowser so we could still get to work!

I saw a similar test in a magazine a few months ago where they dyno tested normal supermarket unleadead, super unleaded, Tesco 99, Optimax BP Ultimate etc and Optimax was the clear winner by far. Their results showed that Tesco 99 wasn't any better than the normal superunleaded.
