New Company Car

I was given the keys to a Civic 2.2 i-CTDi. Excellent performance and handling for what it is. I've changed my mind about not wanting another diesel. I've got a 48 hour loan arranged for next week, if all goes well Big Jim's wish could come true.

I have had the Honda Civic 2.2i-CTDi SE for a couple of days now on loan. I've covered about a hundred miles of mixed roads. But I won't be buying one due to the following faults.

a/ Rear window visibily is poor, no wiper and a horrible spoiler blocking rear view.

b/ Soggy steering.

c/ Plastic gear knob and steering wheel, horrible.

d/ Interior plastic's are not hard wearing.

e/ £16,500

Good stuff.

The instruments, folding rear seats, acceleration, fuel economy.

Strange stuff.

Refigerated glove box, who wants cold gloves? :D

Taking it back tomorrow.

Ford Focus MK1 is still a better drive.

I agree with red7 on the Honda interior, not as good as it oughta be... On taking the cash remember that you can get mileage and reclaim tax if your company doesn't fully re-imburse you.. What's your annual mileage?

Total 15,000 miles /annum Not a great lot of miles for the company, it's mostly congested snails pace stuff around Newcastle's factories and building sites and to and from the airport. Cars a perk to be honest.
