Do I Put It Away For The Winter?

Thinking about putting the kit away for the winter, no garage so i will have to get it carried 15 miles to work, and i dont want all the good work to get wet rusty etc. Am i just worrying about nothing or is it time to put it away till the better weather.

I have had an offer from the driver of the company that is fixing my Galaxy, its been back so many times i am on first name terms with them all.

The question is.... to i put it away and wory about it next year or just keep it covered outside??

Mine sits outside & is suffering this year (mild steel panels).

 

My stainless with mild steel chassis sat outside under a cover in all weathers & didn't suffer too badly.

mine lives outside (full stainless) under its Moltex cover and its fine! the 205 has been under one for 2 years and its still mint!

There will always be a fine day when you may want to tinker or even get away from the rubbish on TV etc. etc.

Build a rizla style car coffin then you can wheel it out to work on when its a nice day

if want to stop rust you could try the stuf that you put into gun cases, it releases a vapour that stops rust on guns so should work on you car, put a few arround it and cover with a plastic sheet, you can get it from most gun shops, the best one is made by Napier.

Bisley isnt bad stuff either, never thought of using that on a car! I use enought of it after a wet HFT shoot!!!
