I SPENT A FREE WEEKEND REMOVING AND ENGINE OUT OF ONE OF THOSE.. GOING TO BELLS SCRAPPY .. RIP ONE OUT OFF A RENO 5

 

And replace the power pack for ... FREE !! Young + daft in those days !!

 

Mind you, the owner had always had 4x4s and also had a brand new vitara (when they first come out 1990s)

 

He said the Dacia Duster did the job and more over fields with his horsebox on ( think he was in his 80's then ...always grafting )

Jago and Suzuki Sj are of similar proportions several guys in jago club have modified cars by

1) fitting sj running gear + the much loved pinto to existing Jago ladder chassis

2)Jago (no rust!) body tub on to modified suzuki chasis

 

several other variations exist including diesel engines, V6 and the famous V8 dragster - find it on You tube or watch it at York dragway 10.2 second quarter miles

 

edit - great looking car on e bay at mo but it apears( from the tone of the answers to questions) to be offered for sale by a close relation of that fella Norman Bates in those Hitchcock movies

I don't mind a bit of work to get it back on the road but I think that one is just a bit too far off the road for comfort.
