Quantum 2 + 2 is too small for the kids in the back (Mutley has one!) and the Jago is a bit on the small size also, that's why we went for the eagle. Now there's a couple of those around.

or, alternatively, go for the saloon quantum, this does have "proper back seats"

Hi

:D Thanks Mitch, almost predictably we have a few Jagos here and another on the way, it is in Leeds at moment!

my 15 year old son's car 1300 x flow car-MK1 based:

(This is obviously a deep rooted genetic obsession we share)

S4010169.jpg

this is one of the tidiest cars we have owned and it has a matching hard top needs a days work for MOT- steering boots etc , nothing desperate,

A Mk2 escort based car we have been running over the summer -has a fresh top and proper doors to fit on when we get time, bought from the builder who ran it for 23 years, currently MOt'd til spring, 1600 x flow electronic ignition, heater , full set of clocks, solid floor, new springs, bucket seats. Has towbar and electrics which work. Featured in Club mag recently with its life history, a well sorted reliable car that would look stunning witha quickrespray. We were thinking Ninja green, rather than Nato

one we are keeping- new dash and premier loom going in, telemetrix instruments, harnesses, buckets

S4010218.jpg

and finally just to make you grin when people accuse you of being obsessed: :D :D :D

S4010124.jpg we have had 14 of these cars in 4 years, we will get round to building a kit one day, promise!!

There is plenty of sound advice on buying a jeep on the Jago Owners Club forum

http://jagoownersclub.co.uk/

and always a few cars for sale - register and pop an ad inwanted section , you might hit lucky.

Jago maintenance is a dream - see all that space in engine bay and plenty of ground clearance too, and also there are plenty of spares about, copies of build info, adverts, catalogue of accessories are available cheaply

feel free to get in touch if I can be of any help or if you want to know anything else about these cars

My friend had a "fat boy" one, it was slow, agricultural, rattly as hell & noisy too....

I guess you'd expect some of this in a kit anyway so I agree the kit would be better :)

most 4x4s were, off road excellent on road slow(ish) took forever to level out after a corner, you had to steer constantly to keep them straight there was that much play in the steering, LR only sorted it with the later models, drive suzuki and a series one landy and then see which is agricultural, noisy and slow!!!!!

Oh handbrake left on ... thought it was a bit more shuggy than usuall ?

Still got me there and back, everytime ( WISH I KEPT IT)

Oh rubber band return mechanism wipers !!

Sold it as I was fed up replacing or repairing the exhaust ( and it wasnt a babe magnet) EVN 629C where are you now ?

probably still on the road, Andy windows had loads,we used to go camping in them in the lakes, with the roof off, first taste of hood less motoring, learnt to drive in them as a kid on my uncles farm never driven a suzuki but they must be slightly more refined than the landys were.
