If your struggling to find an expansion tank that's not either massive or a crazy shape, or you just don't want to get your hands dirty at the scrappy, then Screwfix do a 2-Stroke Fuel mixing bottle which is perfect for the job. It's a very handy rectangular shape, so easy to mount, 1 litre capacity and very sturdy plastic construction that will easily withstand boiling water (and petrol obviously) - much better than something like a bike bottle for example.

 

It also has a handy spout and could easily be converted to a screen-wash bottle.

 

And it's only £4.99!! Bargain.
