Cycle Wings

my new cycle wings and brackets arrived this morning to replace my clams

mountings came from mk engineering and bolt straight on to the sierra hubs

and you bend them over the top of the tyre

my problem is this

what is the best way to mount the wings to the brackets

ie with or without a rubber gasket or something simerler

and what type of bolts or fixing should be used

Mine are mounted with rubber gaskets using stainless 8mm roundhead allen bolts + threadlock. Welded the nuts on the support bar then ran a tap through to clear the distortion. Front edge of the wing must go further forward than a vertical line through the frontmost edge of the rim.

Looking at the pic my wing is probably not quite far enough forward. (Passed anyway)
