Zero Drive!

Feeling in quite a chippa mood today. Drove the zero for the first time.......................all of 2 feet!! I finally got the brakes bled after no end of hassles and installed my replacement engine management after my megajolt crapped out on me, fitted the clutch cable and throttle cable and thought, 'ah what the hell'.

 

Fired it up, stuck it in first and crept it out of the garage! Stuck it in reverse and reversed it back in again!! Small teething problem though, the throttle pedal supplied when bolted in is too loose/soft. Needs a bit of resistance behind it as you can literally breathe on it and it revs the nuts of the engine!! Thinking of rigging up some spring system which increases the hardness of the pedal. I would just tighten the bolts but then the pedal doesn't return back again!!!!

 

I'll get some pics of it tomorrow, still a quite a few jobs to do but getting there!!

Extra springs are a good idea.

Best/safest to add them at the carb end of the setup.

As Bob rightly said add springs at the carb that way if throttle cable brakes your carbs will shut off , as you certainly dont want it the other way round .
