Has the sierra 4 x 4 with a V6 engine and disc brakes have a Limited Slip Diff ?. Graham

Yes although earlier 2wd XR4i's didn't.

Easiest way to tell is jack up the back end and turn one of the wheels....the other wheel should turn in the same direction. If it's not a LSD then the other wheel will turn the opposite direction...!!!

If any one is interested, My company made and still do for the time being the ltd slip bit of the sierra diff and I can get them so you can convert your current diff. They unfortunatley cost £400, but are new.

I have heard both arguments and cannot make up my mind whether to fit one or not. I have got one available. Is it worth it?

Apart from cost whats the argument against having a LSD (should that be an LSD)(L not a Vowel but an scans better?)

I thought you should always use "an" before abbrievations. Therefore it would be "an LSD".

I fitted an LSD recently and I do think it was worth the effort, grip from standing start is better and it seems to let go more evenly on the islands
