Super Spec Header Tank

Hi All,

 

Is this 'spigot' supposed to be cut off, or can I drill a hole in the battery tray to accomodate this spigot?

 

Or, is this spigot to be kept in order to keep the header tank as high as possible, within the confines of the scuttle / bonnet?

 

Also, is the cut out in the battery tray to accomodate the outlet from the header tank (think it is) and is the battery tray in the right position(ish)?

I drilled a hole in the tray to accept the spigot - provides a bit of support for the tank. However the header tank does need to be as high as possible.

I had to slightly enlarge the hole to accomodate the pipe.

Thanks John, header tank fitted (resting on the spigot).

 

Just have enlarge the cut out in the battery tray a little.

 

I take it the battery tray just screws via self tappers to the chassis where they cross?
