Hi,

Have got myself totally confused as to the amount I should be paying for the SVA test and MAC. Can anyone clarify exactly what I should be paying?

Typical goverment web sites....plenty of waffle, none making any clear sense!

I've just been through the SVA process, the SVA was £190 payable to VOSA, which includes 1 test and a MAC certficate, a retest is £38 i think,

 

Then you have to pay DVLA £55 for the admin which includes the build up inspection on top of this is your car tax, 6 or 12 months

Thats what I originally thought, however came across another goernment web site which showed slightly different costs.

Better get the cheque book out!
