Getting Fired

the media seem to have decided that moral outrage is much better to generate than real news stories.

they seemed to get a taste for it with ross/brand and now it seems its every week they find that someone somewhere has said something that might be offensive to someone. now i dont particularly mind thatcher being sacked (exactly what is she qualified to do: other than being the slightly less pointless sibling in that family?) but i dont quite see why it should be front page news.

its worrying that journalists would rather moralise/create moral outrage than report on news items these days.
