Its not related to my 2B but i've just purchased a golf mk4 and the electric windows, sunroof, interior lights dont work, have checked the fuses and been on the VW forum but unlike here they are not a lot of help to a new member. Any vw experience help or ideas much appreciated. Graham.

sounds like the central convenience controller needs attention

 

try on here for someone near you with VAG COM software ( I have but i'm a wee bit far away )

if fact im positive that it is only a single fuse that will have blown.

We had fun with the windows on the Mk 3 golf. Such as finding them all open in the morning (usualy when raining), having them open randomly when driving and having them generaly being disobedient and not closing when they were told to. Had to get the garage to fix with excessive sucking of teeth, tut tutting and it eventualy cost just enough for a two returns to Benidorm (low season). Turned out to be sun roof leak onto some circuit board and resulting corrosion. The circuit board lived down on the drivers door pillar but the vehicle electrical technician didn't feel able to trust me with the full diagnosis in case I went mad with excessive knowledge or slit my wrists in despair.

Sorry this post isn't very helpfull but my shrink told me I have to share or I will never be able to move on.
