Im having trouble removing the gear lever, either im not pulling hard enough or i need to do something else which i cant think of. I followed the manual. Here some pics to see if you can see anything i need to do. Dont want to pull too hard just in case i damage anything.

How heavy are the MT75 gearboxes, could i take it out on my own or do i need someone to give me a hand to remove it. Any tips would be appriciated.

I think you need to remove the padding around the mounting and remove the three bolts that will be revealed then it will just lift off as described in Haynes

See photo of spare I have, as long as you have removed the pin from lowest hole you can grip bottom of gear lever with mole grips and twist back and forth to release it, also spray it with some WD40. Mine was well rusted so took a while to release it
